Chess is one of the best activities for developing thinking, patience, and decision-making skills. But under what conditions can one learn effectively? One thing is clear: not in a crowded room, with dozens of children and general explanations.
For a child to truly learn, they need a calm space, an instructor who has time for everyone, and a small but involved group of peers.
Why physical lessons, not online?
A coach who sees the child, hears them, and corrects them on the spot can really help them. Face-to-face lessons offer:
- Eye contact and genuine interaction
- Answers tailored exactly to the child’s questions
- Trust, involvement and responsibility
- Games and exercises with real pieces, not clickers
This is what chess taught well means: quality, not volume .
Small groups – truly effective
We work with groups of 3 to 6 children , just enough so that everyone is noticed and encouraged.
We do not agree with large groups , where children progress slowly and without understanding, and the instructor does not manage to take everyone in turn. We believe in careful, long-term work, not in checking off an attendance.
Where do the lessons take place?
The lessons take place physically , in Bucharest, in a dedicated space, specially designed for study and play. We are located in an easily accessible area, close to the center (Cotroceni), ideal for parents who do not want to waste time in traffic.
